There's a fitness center, outdoor pool, 94 non-smoking rooms, complimentary breakfast and kids eat free. It is also in the heart of Hollywood, close to the major attractions there.

Hollywood Celebrity Hotel

The Hollywood Walk of Fame, Grauman's Chinese Theatre, the Hollywood Bowl and other central Hollywood attractions are walking distance from the newly renovated Hollywood Celebrity, which also gives exclusive access to the private members' Magic Castle club. All rooms are non-smoking, there's free high-speed internet, HBO, a fitness center and complimentary guest parking. Prices are mid-range to cheap.

Hollywood Liberty Hotel

A Hollywood hotel room for under $100 a night? Well, single rooms yes, though rates vary with the season, but all room prices include free breakfast and complimentary parking. It's a 1-minute walk to the Chinese Theatre and a 10-minute drive to Universal Studios. At this price rooms are basic, but they're comfortable and the staff helpful.

Hollywood Roosevelt

The Roosevelt is a classic Hollywood hotel that dates back to 1927, and guests over the years have included Clark Gable, Marilyn Monroe and hosts of other movie stars. It was renovated in 2005 and though it's edging towards the expensive, if you want to feel you're really staying in Hollywood and not just in a hotel that happens to be in Hollywood, check out the Roosevelt's prices.
