Make Laguna Beach reservations for lodging and shows well in advance to take full advantage of this famous Orange County, California resort town full of culture and art.

Laguna Beach, California is renowned for dramatic coastal scenery, beaches, restaurants, and access to a multitude of outdoor activities including surfing, hiking and mountain biking. To get the most out of a Laguna Beach vacation, plan to stay in one of the downtown hotels or beach rentals for at least a few days and enjoy all that Laguna has to offer.

Laguna Beach Reservations

Laguna Beach reservations can be hard to come by during the summer season. Securing lodging reservations (and reservations to shows such as the Pageant of the Masters or a show at the Laguna Playhouse) well in advance is essential during the summer months.

Laguna Beach Vacation Cultural Highlights

Cultural hotspots abound within walking distance of the village, which makes a beach vacation to Laguna Beach so much more than sand and surf. Close to 100 art galleries line the shaded streets, inviting visitors to stop in and browse and perhaps even add to their own personal collections. The Laguna Beach Museum is also worth a visit.

In the summer, three arts festivals give the town a celebratory feel, and each night provides an opportunity to see the world-famous Pageant of the Masters under the stars at the Festival of the Arts. To really experience the cultural side of Laguna Beach, visitors should plan to be in town on the first Thursday of any month for Art Walk.

Laguna Beach Outdoor Recreation

From the ocean to the Laguna Coast Wilderness Park and the numerous smaller Laguna Beach parks, visitors who like to be outside will love Laguna Beach. Hiking and mountain biking on the local trails is always popular, and, while local surf breaks may get crowded, a family-friendly vibe ensures that everyone has a good time.

Seven4One is an amazing, 12-room boutique hotel and belongs on that list. I found them on TripAdvisor and I'm SO glad I stayed with them!!

Ret Talbot :
I have heard very good things about Seven4One, but at $360-$750/night (July 2009 weekend prices), I decided to save it for a different article looking at higher end spots. Nonethless, I look forward to covering this boutique hotel that is getting some very good reviews. Thanks for mentioning it.
