Fantasyland is one of the original lands in Disneyland and still contains some of the original rides.
As people pass through Sleeping Beauty's Castle, they arrive in the delightful world of Fantasyland. Although loved by all ages, Fantasyland is particularly appealing to children. Let's take a quick peek at the rides there. Alice in Wonderland Ride in DisneylandFollow Alice down the rabbit hole as she encounters Twiddle Dee and Twiddle Dum, the White Rabbit, and the Cheshire Cat. Help celebrate the Mad Hatter's tea party. Beware, though, of the Queen of Hearts as she yells, "Off with her head!" Fantasyland's Casey Junior Circus TrainHop on a Circus train based on the train from Dumbo. Pass by the various villages In Storybook Land while listening to the song, Casey Jr. Hear the hope in Casey's voice as he attempts to climb a hill. "I think I can. I think I can." It's A Small World RideOriginally built for the New York World's Fair in 1964, Walt Disney moved this ride to Disneyland where it opened in 1966. This 13 minute boat ride takes guests to visit children all over the world while listening to the tune, It's A Small World. King Arthur Carousel in DisneylandLocated in the heart of Fantasyland is one of Disneyland's opening day attractions, King Arthur Carousel. Consisting of 77 hand crafted horses, each white horse is painted differently. Parents who do not wish to ride on a horse are welcome to stand. Fantasyland's Mad Tea PartySpin your heart out in teacups from the Mad Hatter's unbirthday party. With 18 cups, riders can take turns spinning back and forth as the ride spins in both directions. Riders can spin as little or as much as they want. Matterhorn Bobsleds RideSpeed through the Swiss Alps in Fantasyland's only thrill ride. Keep your eyes peeled as it's rumored the Abominable Snowman hides out here. Hold on tight for sharp turns and a final splash down into the water. Guests must be 35 inches or taller to ride this attraction. Disney's Mr. Toad's Wild RideClimb aboard a motorcar after entering Toad Hall for a wild and crazy ride passing by explosives, fire, and angry policemen. This is a particularly popular ride among younger children as they are allowed to be the drivers of the cars. Peter Pan's Flight in DisneylandRelive the adventures of Peter Pan, Captain Hook, Wendy, John, and Michael as your pirate ship first flies over in London at night before reaching Neverland. Beware of the crocodile! One of the most popular rides in Fantasyland. Pinocchio's Daring Journey RideFollow Pinocchio's adventures as he tries to escape from Stromboli before he turns into a donkey. Watch for Jiminy Cricket's help along the way. Don't miss the Blue Fairy towards the end of the ride. Will Pinocchio's dream come true of becoming a real boy? Disneyland's Snow White's Scary AdventuresBased on Walt Disney's first full-length animated feature, riders are first charmed by the seven dwarfs before things turn dark and the Evil Queen offers up a poisoned apple. Not to worry though, Snow White and her Prince live happily ever after. Storybook Land Canal Boats In FantasylandEnjoy a relaxing boat ride through miniature villages with favorite Disney characters. Narrated by a guide, pass by the Sultan's palace from Aladdin, King Triton's Castle, and homes of the three little pigs, to name a few.
