People Who Help at the Expo, Book Group Expo
Book Group Expo is an October community event where a growing number of book readers are preparing for trip to San Jose, CA for Chapter Three on October 25 and 26, 2008.

Book Group Expo is a community book event for all readers, in book clubs and individuals. This Expo showcases the lively conversations around topics where book readers engage with authors and other book readers in Literary Salons. This one of a kind community book club event which connects books and readers is alive and well in San Jose, CA, on the weekend of October 25 and 26, 2008.

If one belongs to a book club, or reading circle, they know about this experience of (sometimes wild) interaction and conversations provided through books and topics. Individual readers not a part of a group are invited to join in with the fun too.

The goal at this community book event is to interact with other serious book readers about each other’s passions of food, wine, conversation and whatever else may arise.

Book Clubs Enjoy Key Attractions of Book Readers, Literary Salons, Topics, Book Authors, and Marketplace

The Literary Salons are replicas of book group sessions and familiar territory for book readers to meet and interact with other readers and authors. This is the place where a curiosity is visible even with poking fun at each other as stereotypes through shared topics.

Topics drive book readers and authors to spontaneous conversations throughout this two day event. One never knows what reality will take place even with their book guide present.

A preview of 2008 Book Topics:

  • Managing your mother (or maybe it’s your mother managing you!)
  • Historical friction
  • Making whoopee
  • Coulda, woulda, shoulda
  • Write or wrong

Mingle with Book Authors in the comfort of the book group setting of a living room. A sample of their very long list of Authors:

  • Julia Glass
  • Terry McMillian
  • Marisa de los Santos

The Marketplace is where vendors introduce new tastes and products which enhance the experience of this two day event. A friendly place to socialize, drink wine, meet book authors, have books signed, eat chocolate, and drink more wine. Anything goes with fun prizes and, of course, more lively conversations.

Small Idea, Big Book Club Community Event

The Expo started as a small idea with Ann Kent, founder and an avid fan of her own book group. Ann launched this event for the community. It connects book lovers and authors with engaging conversations on a variety of topics.

Ann is a newcomer to book clubs. She enjoys books; it has only been three years that she has been with her book group. Ann, an active listener, is fascinated by the way people interact with other people around book discussions.

Book Reader Does Not Do It By the Book

Ann Kent, with the help of her own book group, created chapter one of the book group expo on a more public level three years ago. It was crucial to keep the same spontaneity and lively book discussions of a small book group. Success was proven when one thousand book readers arrived at the San Jose, CA Convention Center and enjoyed this book club experience.

Book Group Expo Chapter Three takes this book club experience to another level at their annual calendar book group event and is open to all readers. Find the way to San Jose, California, October 25 and 26, 2008 and experience this new book event for book readers. There is no other kind of book club event attraction like this for book readers. Individuals enjoy and yes, there are many books available to buy.
